MOLD REMEDIATION

Linked to Health Problems
Toxic mold and mildew is in millions of homes and offices and schools across  the United States. The term refers to various strains that are blamed for an ever-expanding list of ailments, ranging from sinus infections and headaches, to chronic fatigue and even short-term memory loss.

Mold Remediation & Mildew Treatment

It may be difficult to know if you have mold. Even more difficult to determine if you do have a mold problem is whether your mold is toxic or non-toxic.

We suggest you use your “common senses.” If you can see mold growing anywhere in your home or business, then there is a problem that needs to be properly remedied. Unfortunately, treacherous molds can hide behind walls, under floorboards, and in roofing. If you don’t see mold, it can still be a problem—if you smell mold or a musty odor in your building that, too, is an indicator that you could have a serious mold problem. Below are some tips to using your senses, and incriminating signs you may have a problem:

*Stained ceiling tiles or walls.
*Musty, earthy, or urine scented odor.
*Black, brown, orange, pink, or green speckled walls or around any plumbing grout or tile.
*Deficient siding or siding that is not covering a building adequately.
*Wood siding where the paint has cracked and water has intruded.
*Mild to severe unexplained illness to building occupants.
*Swollen, crumbling walls.
*Buckling floorboards.
*Sewer backup that has caused water damage.
*Leaky roof.
*Recent flood or hurricane damage.
*Leaky windows or doors.
*Washing machine overflow, washing machine leaks such as drain valve
  phalanges, leaky gaskets, etc.
*Leaky toilet seal or bathtub drainage problems.
*Lack of, or poor, ventilation.
*Relative humidity over 60%.
*Damp basements.

While this list is not comprehensive, should your home or business suffer one or more of these indicators, it is suggested that you test for mold.
